CO. TIPPERARY, Ireland - A man in his 50s has died in a two vehicle collision on the N24 Clonmel, in Co. Tipperary.

The two vehicles collided on the N24, Clonmel to Carrick on Suir on Wednesday night around 11:00pm.

One driver, a man in his 50s, was critically injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was taken to South Tipperary General Hospital for a post mortem.

The driver of the other car was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The road was closed for a period of time to facilitate an examination of the area by the Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Traffic diversions were put in place.
