DUBLIN, Ireland - Gardaí attached to Pearse Street Garda Station are investigating a public order incident which took place on Grafton Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Just before 1:00am, a large group of males attempted to enter a licensed premises on Adam Court, off Grafton Street Dublin 2.

Following a public order disturbance with security personnel the group ran from the scene onto Grafton street. Gardaí say they are aware that a number of patrons of licensed premises in the area, were present in a designated smoking area and may have witnessed the incident.

Some of these persons may have taken mobile phone footage of the incident. This was also a busy time on Grafton Street in general. Gardaí are appealing to any persons on Grafton Street, or in the Adam Court area, between 00:30hrs – 01:30hrs on 07 July 2019, in particular any person who has mobile phone footage from Adam Court or from the Grafton Street area in general during these times to come forward.
