Searches in Ballyfermot net 758,000 euro worth of drugs

DUBLIN, Ireland - €758,000 worth of illicit drugs destined for the streets of Dublin have been confiscated.

The major seizure came from searches of a number of houses, including in Ballyfermot.

The searches were carried out on Monday by gardai in Ballyfermot, as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the area.

The seizure included large quantities of Cannabis resin, Cocaine, MDMA and Heroin. Other drug related paraphernalia and documentation was also seized in the search.

A man in his early 30s was arrested during the searches in Ballyfermot and taken to Ballyfermot Garda Station. He remains in custody as investigations continue.
