Man stabbed to death in Co Dublin, woman arrested

CO DUBLIN, Ireland - A woman in her 30s is in custody following the alleged murder of a man in the Brownsbarn Estate, Kingswood area (near City West), Co. Dublin, which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The body of Gareth Kelly, 39, (pictured) who it is alleged was stabbed to death, was found shortly after 6:00am on Tuesday.

The woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently detained in Clondalkin Garda Station.

The body of tMr Kelly removed to the Dublin City Morgue where a post mortem will expected to be carried out by Acting State Pathologist, Dr Linda Mulligan on Wednesday.

Garda are appealing to anyone who was in the Brownsbarn Estate and Kingswood area between the hours of 6:00am and 7:00am on Tuesday who may have information in relation to this incident to come forward. Garda are particularly appealing to road users who may have camera footage. A family liaison officer has been appointed to the family and they continue to support the family, a gardai statement publish on Wednesday said.
