DUBLIN, Ireland - An Garda Sochna and the RSA are urging motorcyclists to "ease off the throttle" and to be extra cautious as we head into the summer months.
Data shows that July and August are the most dangerous months for collisions involving motorcyclists with 3-8pm on Sundays being noted as a time of high risk.
To date in 2020 there have been eight motorcyclist deaths, three more than the same period in 2019.
All motorists are urged to look, and look again, for motorcyclists
An Garda Sochna and the RSA are also reminding motorcyclists to ensure they wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when out biking.
