CO MEATH, Ireland - Garda are continuing their investigation into the death of a man on the N51 in Harmanstown, Slane, County Meath, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The man was found lying on the road shortly before 3:00am on Saturday morning.

It is understood he was travelling on an electric scooter from the direction of Slane. It is unclear as to how he came to be in this state. He was treated by ambulance services but was later pronounced dead.

At this time, An Garda Sochna say they are treating the incident as a possible road traffic collision.

Garda at Navan are appealing for any witnesses or for anyone with information to come forward.

Garda are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling on the N51 in Harmanstown between approximately 1:30am and 3:00am to make this footage available to Garda.
