CO CORK - Gardai are continuing their investigation into a fatal car crash that took place in County Cork on Tuesday afternoon.

The single-vehicle road traffic collision occurred at Drishanebeg, Skibbereen, Co. Cork, at approximately 1:30pm Tuesday afternoon.

The driver of the car, a man aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removed to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem will take place. No other injuries were reported.

Forensic Collision Investigators attended the crash scene to conduct a technical examination.

Gardai are appealing to any person who may have witnessed this collision to contact them. Any road users who were travelling through this area on Tuesday afternoon, who has camera (including dashcam) footage, is asked to make this available to gardai.
