Car inferno kills one Irish, injures other in United States

OREGON, USA - In the United States, one man was killed, and another was seriously injured when their car flipped over and caught fire.

Both of the men involved in the incident in Oregon are thought to be Irish.

According to Hillsboro Police, it happened at 4.31 a.m. on Sunday when they responded to information about a single-vehicle rollover near Tanasbourne Drive and Stucki Avenue on the outskirts of town and close to Highway 26.

Officers arrived on the scene to find the vehicle on its top and completely engulfed in flames.

Hillsboro police said in a statement, "One person was extricated by officers and transported to a local hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries." A second occupant had died. The crash's cause is unknown."

Neither man has been officially identified until all next of kin have been notified, but both were Irish and working in the United States.
