CO KERRY, Ireland - After being attacked and stabbed at a family funeral in Tralee, Co Kerry, a man died, and his wife was seriously injured.
The incident occurred just before noon on Wednesday at New Rath Cemetery in Rathass.
A fight broke out at the end of the burial service, and the man, in his mid-40s, was fatally stabbed.
He was declared dead about 30 minutes later. His wife suffered severe injuries as well.
She was stabbed in the upper body and is being treated at University Hospital Kerry.
The man's body was taken to the morgue at the same hospital. His body will be subjected to a post-mortem examination later.
Gardai is urging witnesses to contact them.
Gardai is said to have conducted follow-up searches in Tralee, Killarney, and Cork city throughout the afternoon.
