DUBLIN, Ireland - A man is recovering in a Dublin hospital following an apparent stabbing on Thursday afternoon.

The man, aged in his late 20s, was found with stab wounds after an alleged assault around 1:00pm on Thursday at Marlborough Street, Dublin 1.

The man was treated at the scene before being taken by Ambulance to the Mater Hospital. His condition is understood to be stable.

An examination of the scene has been carried out.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses to come forward and for those with camera footage from the vicinity of Marlborough Street and North Earl Street at the time of the incident to make it available to them.
