Woman on bicycle dies after colliding with car in Co. Dublin

DUBLIN, Ireland - A woman riding a bicycle has been killed when her bike collied with a car on Saturday afternoon.

The woman, at Grallagh, Garristown, Co. Dublin, at around 12:50pm Saturday when the collision occurred.

First responders were quickly on the scene where the young woman was found dead. Her body was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown (pictured) where a post mortem will take place in due course.

The driver of the c ar, a man aged in his 20s, was uninjured.

The road was closed pending an examination by Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions were put in place.

Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
