Man arrested after major drug search in suburban Dublin

DUBLIN, Ireland - A joint agency operation headed by the Revenue Customs Service has resulted in a major seizure of cannabis herb in the capital.
The raid, carried out on Friday involved the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), Clondalkin District Drugs Unit and Revenue's Customs Service.
The operation took place in West Dublin.
Approximately 28.5kgs of cannabis herb with an estimated value of approximately €570,000 was confiscated by Revenue Customers Service officers.
A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested by Gardai and is currently detained at a Garda Station in the West Dublin area.
Gardai say that investigations are ongoing.
