Gardaí appeal for witnesses after discovery of body in Carrick-on-Suir

CO TIPPERARY, Ireland - Gardaí in Tipperary have launched an investigation after a man's body was discovered at a residence in Carrick-on-Suir in the early hours of Monday morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 3:30 a.m. Monday following reports of an unresponsive man in his 40s. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

The area has been sealed off for a technical examination, and the Coroner has been notified. A post-mortem is expected to be carried out in the coming days to determine the cause of death.

Gardaí are appealing to the public for information, particularly from anyone who may have been in the Cregg Road area between 8 p.m. on Friday, August 1, and 3:30 a.m. on Monday. They are also asking motorists with dashcam footage or residents with private camera recordings from the vicinity to come forward.
